Johanna Rocard is a French performance and visual artist. Her practice questions the notion of the collective, and more particularly of the gestures and rituals that bring human groups together. Paying a special attention to the trivial poetry of mundane items, she tries to assess how ancestral rituals survive. A set of performative tools dedicated to collectives in resistance thus emerges from her work and research.
